WELLINGTON, May 13. . y Memories of a sensational divorce case, heard in Sydncyi^n 1901 were re--vived^ by,. the^^"ialii^l>h commenced in the Supreme Court to-day, when Alice Coning-ha'in sued for a divorco from her husband,' Arthur Goningham nh the around of adultery. The case is beingr heard before Justice Chapman and a jury. • An applicatiion to have the case heard in ' camera was decliinedj " the ' judge statingi Ihat he might havo to order that some of the evidence be not published. ; : Respondent asked that his cross ' petitidri be heard at the same time but His Honour said the matter was nof ! set down and he could not try it. Petitiprier in her evidence, said she was married in Sydney in 1893. There were three children of the marriage.. She lived with lier husband until 1900 j when they separated for" a time. About three years aigo respondent went away. He had riot realty maintained her for twelve yeai's. . Petitioner also gave evidence of occurrences which led her to suspect her husband's conduct. The case is proceeding" .
