WELLINGTON, Jan 16. Judgment was delivered to-day by Mr. S .G. Riddell, S.M., i" a case in which a woman residing' in Wellington South, ano license district, wa s charged with having stored liquor on hen-, premises. The fact was admitted, butj defendant pleaded .I>hat the liciuor was- only stored to oblige a. person who intended to entertain the Tramway Band at his residence tihe next evening-, aTid he wanted TO take it home after dark. "The magis trate held that the case did not come within the wording of the Act and dis missed it.
