LAND AND INCOME TAX.

HOBART, Nov 24. In the Assembly, the Premier introduced the land and income tax resolutions. The land tax starts . from Ji_ penny in the pound on unimportant land values up to £2500, and ranges to twopence half -penny on value' over £!?0,000. Income, tax is • fixed at a shilling in the pound on all ingomes where companies are concerned and on- incomes derived from property. On- personal incomes, the tax ranges from f ourpence to one and f ourpence according* to scale. '
