BUTTER EXPORT REGULATIONS

(Reed. 9.30 p.m.) MELBOURNE, Nov. 24.

Tho revised commerce regulations fix the standards of exported butter as, Superfine first, second third graders and pastry.

It must contain no fat other than butter fat, and not more 'than 15 per centum of water, 3 per centum of casein, .5 per centum of boric acid, and 4 per centum of salt.

Strict regulations are prescribed for labelling and describing- meats and other articles of, food, drink; mcdi- '■ ernes ana commodities manufactured On articles imtended for export," the following fees are payable before the export is permitted, viz. butter one farthing a box.

Mutton and lamb farthing each. * Cattle three pence. ' Pigs one penny per carcase. Canned meats one half-penny per hundred pounds.
