OBEY DISTRICT INSTITUTE
A meeting of (the above Institute was held in the Education Board oftice last Saturday morning and there was present an excellent attendance. Mr A. J. Wickes, President of the Institute was in the chair. The. minutes of the last meeting were nread and confirmed, and the correspondence received. Mr de Berry delegate at the annual conference, held in Auckland Jast month, gave a most lnteresting%3sume of the proceedings, and upon a motion proposed iby the President, seconded by Mr Malone, ,a hearty vote Avas accorded him for his interesting address, and the satisfactory and worthy manner, whereby the prestige of out district was maintaind at tne , conference. , , A notice of motion proposed, by 'Mr de BeTry, r e the conduct of Manual and Technical education in this district, was tafter a long discussion _ referred t 0 a sub-committee consisting of Miss Blair and Messrs de Berry and Wickes, to bring up a report at next meeting. .
