J. W. Chalk presents to our readers this morning, in the form of an ins3 v the pleasing news that he ."vas 3U?t opened up large shipments of new goods which are tastefully displayed in his new premises, Albert Street. Every wish can be gratified as the assortment is the finest that moneycan secure. Mr Chalk has several lines which he wishes to clear, and they will be bargains. A visit is requested to the premises in Albert Street.
Tenders are invited . by the Grey Education Board for the purchase of he old school building at Duncan's Seven Mile Road.
R. Hannah and Co. have decided to do repairing on their premises, and a first-class workman arrived yesterday from Wellington to take charge of the work. All repairs entrusted to the firm will be done with neatness and dispatch. The repairing of pumas, handsewn boots, etc, a speciality.
