Annual Meeting The annual meeting cf the Westland 1 District of was held in the Borough Council Cham-; bers yesterday afternoon, the follow ing being present: P.G.M. Charles Evenden (JCumara Lodge), D.P. G.M. Ernest J. Smith (Greymouth Lodge), C.S. Edward Hopkins (Greymouth Lodge). Delegates : Grey Lodge, Bros P. G.s Edwards anci Warnes; Albert Lodge, Bros Evenden and Peters; Waimea Lodge, Bro. P.P.G.M. Lyons. The Provincial Grand Master in presenting the annual report congratulated tho brethren on the satisfactory state of the funds, and expressed the pleasuija it gave him of meeting them once more. The report war; as follows: "The return 3 of the District on January 1, 1906, shows that the members standing good on the books of the three Lodges, comprising our district to be 171. During the year 14 members' have! f been (admitted, four deaths have taken place (three from Groymouth and one fi^om the Albeit Lodges), five have left by nonpayment of dues, and twe have left by clearance, The Greymouth Lodge jias had the misfortune to lose twoi esteemed Brothers who have often sat at this table on many similar occasions such as this. I refer to P.P.G.M. 's Bros J. G. Thomas and. A levy of 3s for management was struck, and it was decided to leave the matter of funprai levies as at present.
