United Press Association^-By Electric Telegraph — Copyright. BRITISH POLITICS. ♦ The Government's Majority. Trying to Run too Many Horses Abreast. The Attitude of the Lords. LONDON, January 29. Mr Sydney Buxton, at London, said it was not difficult to say what the Government would do with their majority. In the immediate; -futuire they intended to put elementary education on a national basis, and to deal with trade union funds. They desired later to deal with many social and labor questions before them'on a substantial and radical basis; but they must beware of the danger of shipwreck on the r^ck whereon they were previously wrecked, namely — trying to run too many horses abreast. There must be give-and-take but in view of the Government's large majority the House of Lords was less l^l^ely than formerly to reject or mutilate measures.
