(Our Correspondent.) The funeral of the late Mr 4 Thos Crumpton took place on Sunday afternoon, a large concourse of mourn ers assembling to pay a last tribute* of respect to one of Reefton 's oldest residents. The funeral service was conducted by the Rev J. W- Vealie of the Wesleyan Church. Black's Point was en fet« on Sunday last, the occasion being the asm versary of the Sunday schjol. This event is eagerly looked for by eH and young, as the schola-s have a good reputation for thei: s-ngins; Sunday proved no exception. £•• eve» - flowing congregations were present at the afternoon and evening sei--Rev VealieAt the morning service the rev gentleman addressed the school workers- In the afternoon aud in the evening a splendid discourse was given, the subject of the rp^iarks beinglOsth versa of 119 th Psalm ' ; Tby Word is a lamplight untu my feet and a light unto my path," and was listened to with rapt attention. Mr R. E. Green, who had chaige cf the singing, has reason to be proud of the success attending his efforts fbr the children acquitted themselves remarkably well. Miss M. Green ably officiated at the organ. The collections for the day amounted to £11 odd. The following will comprise the Y.M. Hockey Club's team asrainst the Greymouth Y.M.B.C- Club en Wednesday next (the 6th). R- i.ochore, G. Lochcre, F. Garth, J- fetcelc, F. Cochrane, O. M'Lsan. T. Absolom, B- Mori, Chas Malloy. L.
