(Received April 20, at 9 45 a m) Brisbane, April 20. New South Wales having passed the Federation Bill, the Premier will call a meeting of Parliament for May 16th to consider the bill. Sydney, April 20. The Daily Telegraph regrets that the Legislative Council should under any pressure have agreed to less than onefourth of the people being entitled to authorise an irreeocable constitutional change. At the same time much has been accomplished by the Upper House which stood the people's friend when a panic Stricken Assembly left them in the lurch. (Received April 20, at 12 55 a m) Sydney, April 20. The House accepted the Council's amendment on the Federal Bill. Parliament will be prorogued to. morrow. A cursory examination of the warship Cormorant shows that she was extensively damaged. Only about 75 feet of her bottom was uninjured.
