Two cargoes of wheat of 9000 quarters of South Australian February shipment sold at 27s 9d aud 28s respectively, and 12,000 quarters of Victorian April shipment at 275, and 9000 March shipment afc 27s 3d. At the sheep shin sales the supplies of Australian and New Zealand woolen sorts were limited, and competition active. Merinos advanced from |d to fd ; coarse £n to £d. Mutton—Crossbred wethers, maiden ewes, Canterbury 4d ; North Island 3 2-16 d. Lamb— Prime Canterbury 4 3-16 d ; fair average, including Dunedin, Southland, Wellington, secondary Canterbury 4id. Liver Plate crossbreds or merino wethers, heivy, 3 3-8 d ; light 3£.
