A WILD GOOSE CHASE.
Auckland, July 28
Superintendent Thomson instructed the police parties searching for Caffrey and Perm to return to town. The men were ran to earth at Waitakarei Falls whom settlers declared to be Caffrey and Perm j but they proved to be two wandering gumdiggers.
