"CALLED BACK" COMPANY.
The above company was. greeted again last evening with a bumper house, when the Scotch comedy "The Bonnie Fishwife" and the Irish drama "Arra-na-Pogue" were put on the stage.^ The former proved a great feather in their cap. Miss Eloise Juno took the double part of Miss Thistledown and Maggie M'Farlane with magical effect, her imitation of the Scotch dialect being perfect. She was ably assisted by Mr Wilson Forbes as Sir Hickory Heartycheer, Mr H. Taylor as Wildoats, and the inimitable J. j. Kennedy as Gaiters. "Arrah-na-Pogue" followed this splendid piece of acting, and was received with equal enthusiasm. Mr C. H. Taylor elicited loud applause for his life-like acting of Shaun the Ppst, while Colonel O'Grady received justice at the hands of Mr J. J. Kennedy. The Michael Feeney of Mr J. H. Nunn was a finished piece of acting, the prison scene between him and Shaun being loudly applauded. Miss Ella Carrington made a decided hit in the part of Arrah Meelish (Arrah-na-Pogue), her acting of the pathetic and her singing being perfect. Miss Juno did not have much to do as Mis*
Fanny Power, but what she had of it was done with good effect. The others made the best of their several parts, and th 3 audience were sent away well pleased with the evening'B amusement. The company appear to-night in the great moral drama "Never too late to Mend" and, by special request, "The Bonnie Fishwife," which, is alone worth the price of admission. Sixty thousand rifles manufactured by the Providence Tool Company, have , arrived in Constantinople. These rifles will be used to complete the mobilized forces of Turkey.
