Wellington, December 7. The Brunner Coal Company have received contracts for the supply of coal for the railways for 1886, at Wanganui, Waitara, and Timaru, and the Westport Coal, Company. have, received contracts for supplying coal for the same purposes to Lyttelton, and coal for the smiths' shops at Onehunga, and Port Chalmers. Westport or, Greymouth coal is also to be supplied to the railways at the Spit, Wellington, Picton, and Nelson. . ;
