A BUSINESS WITHOUT CAPITAL.

Dunedin, November 12. At a meeting of the crediters of A. Dornwell, butcher, the assignee reported that the business had been carried on for three weeks without capital, and on the face of it a profit of £70 per week was shown. The bankrupt submitted a statement in which he showed that he was doing a good business, but had attempted a corner in oats by purchasing nearly all in Dunedin and Oamaru, and shipped it off to the Mauritius, Cape,&c. Probably quite a loss of £800 resulted. The assignee was authorised to carry on for another three weeks.
