BRUNNERTON.
[from our correspondent.] Brunnerton, October 30. The heavy rain which fell last week has led to the flooding of the Coal Pit Heath Mine, thereby causing a stoppage. Unfortunately the Tangye pump lately placed there is not of sufficient power to keep the water down, 'nd the men cannot work. The company intend putting up new boilers near their works, so that the pumps ijpan be worked by one set of boilers, while the others are used for winding purposes. The men in the Coal Pit Heath have been' very unfortunate lately, not averaging more than three shifts a fortnight. Mr Bishop, of the Brunner mine, has put on a number of the men till such time as their job is ready, which it is expected will take two or three weeks at the earliest.
