| .QUEENSLAND SEPARATION. | London, October 12. A letter written by the Hon. Mr " Griffiths, Premier of Queensland, to the Governor, Sir Anthony Musgrave, on the subject of the proposed separation of Queensland, is published. The Times this morning in referring to it says that it proves that the difficulties are such that the Crown could not at the present time face them by granting separation. (Received October 13, at 12.30 p.m.) SIR HENRY WOLFF'S MISSION. Constantinople, October 12. It is announced that Sir Henry Drummond Wolf, envoy extraordinary to the Sublime Porte, has come to an arrangement with the Grand Vizier on the i Egyptian question. The basis of the agreement is first, that a Turkish commission shall accompany Sir Henry Wolff to Egypt to assist in the task of reorganisation ; secondly, that the English evacuate Egypt whenever such step becomes possible.
