The following allotment of space has been made to the colonies at the Colonial Exhibition to be held in 1877 : — Victoria, 12,000 feet ; New South Wales, 12,000 feet ; New Zealand, 7000 feet ; Queensland, 0000 feet ; Adelaide, 5000 feet. Only buna fide colonists will be allowed to exhibit, and the colonial contributions to a guarantee fund, as suggested by the Prince of Wales, is expected to be about £30,000. ! November 27. Lord Derby has intimated to the Agents- ■ that the initiative in connection I with the Imperial Federation rests with the colonies. The German Reichstag has adopted the payment of members, in spite of theoppoj sition of Prince Bismarck.
