Auckland, March .1 1. Great dissatisfaction is expressed in the Lake District at Mr Finn, M.H.R. for Wakatipu, leaving for Poverty Bay without addressing hia constituents. Mr J. Bradshaw reports . — Bank of New Zealand shares, L 23 ; National Bank, 64s ; Colo lial Bank 44s to 44s 6d ; New Zealand Insurance Company, 723 6d ; National Insurance Company, 283 6d ; Colonial Insurance Company, lls 6d ; South British Insurance Company, 593 ; National Mortgage and Agency Company, 28s ; Mosgiel Woollen Factory, 733 ; New Zealand Shipping Company, 97s 6d. Since the Bth, about L 15,000 has been paid for the Property Tax. Certain charges having been made by a wardsman and inmate of the Benevolent Institution to the effect that the food supplied to the inmates was not fit to eat, and that the internal management was bad, the Committee held an investigation and examined a number of inmates, who showed that the charges were without foundation. . ..
