THE O'CONNELL CENTENARY.
[to the editor.] Str,— -What are the Irishmen of Greymouth about that no steps are being taken by them towards celebrating the centennial of O'Connell ? In almost every part of the world the sons of Erin are preparing to do honor to the memory of the great patriot, and their fellow conntrymen in this Colony are not usually behind in national demonstrations. I would BUggest that some of our leading Hibernians should take the initiative in this matter. - . 'r : v lam, &c., .■:■'■:■ ■■::'-■■' Shamrock. Greymouth, July 3.
