The brigantine Cleopatra left here September 30th. She arrived at Taranaki on October 3rd, but bad weather coming on had to put to sea, whence she returned two days after. She left there October 7th, and was at Kopnrn mills on the Kaipara next day, after a fast run up of twenty-five hours. The Examiner was berthed at No 6 Wharf, and the Comet and the Croydon Lass at No. 7, Emerald at the Graving Dock Jetty, and the Esther and Edith Keid at No. 4 Wharf. The Smiling Morn landed the first of her sugar yesterday. The schooner Elizabeth Curio has been subjected to a most thorough overhaul on Messrs Grubb and Co.’s slip, from which she was launched yesterday. Captain Gilbert Brown, lately master of her, has taken charge of the Pelican, thus making a vacancy which has been filled by Captain Grubb. The Elizabeth Carle cleared for Picton. The schooner Edith Bold, Captain McConviUe, ■arrived yesterday with a cargo of timber from Kaipara, whence she left on Monday, October 4th, and had southerly winds to arrival. SHIPPING TELEGRAMS. Wellington, October 12. A rrived—Charles Edward, from Nelson ; Eotorna, from Sydney, via Auckland and the East Coast. Sailed—Kiwi, for Napier and Coast; Jessie Nichols, schooner, for Dunedin; Eotorna, for Melbourne, via Hobart Town and the South. Passengers—Misses Pearson, Gover, Eayll, Mesdames Johnson, Plummer, Disher, Capper, Mr and Mrs Pratt and three children, Hon. G.
