SAVOLDI BEATS WOODS TOO MUCH SHOWMANSHIP! (Press Association). CHRISTCHURCH, Sept, 3. Gaining the only fall in the bout with a flying drop k’ck in the fifth round, Joe Savoldi, boat- Joe Woods in ari ,eght round match to-night. Savoldi impressed as having the measure of Woods at all stages and broke some of Woods’ holds with amazing case. The Theatre Royal was packed and the crowd found fault Avith Savoldi’s showmanship, taking strong exception to frequent 'complaints to tho referee, none of which Averc upheld. DUSEK AND BOESCH DRAW (Press Association.. MASTERTON, Sept, 9. After eight r omul si of entertaining and, at times, spectacular wrestling, Danny Dusek and Paul Boesch finished' up with, honors easy. Boesch secured a fall in the fourth round, following a series of well directed drop kicks, and Dusek evened up in the last- round, when he dumped Boesch heavily from an Aeroplane spin.
