Contracts to purchase IG.OCO pheasants for liberation around Audi land province during the next five years were approved at a meeting- ot the council of the Auckland Acclimatisation Society. The annual cost ss expected to be about £I7OO, which nil bo shared by three main breeders, each of whom will be required to supply 500 birds next year, and 13 small er breeders of whom 50 birds will be demanded for two reasons only.— Press Assn.
