RABBIT BOARD

MONTHLY MEETING

The .monthly meeting of the EastCoast Rabbit Board was held on Saturday morning. Mr. M. T. frafford’ presided and there were also present Messrs. M. L. Holden and the StocK Inspector, Mr. F. R. Bould. Tho inspectors presented special reports With regard to the control of ragwort in the areas under their,patrol. It was decided to forward thereports to the Agricultural Department. Accounts were, passed for payment totalling £4oG 14s sd. The. northern; inspector, Mr. 11. Burgess reported, that four rabbits had been killed during the. month, one each at Te Wha.iti’ Whakatane golf links, Whakatane, West and Ohiwa. The report of the' southern inspector, Mr. R. T. Eng-; land, showed that since the last meeting twelve rabbits had been killed—. four at Awamate, two at Otoi and one each at Waihi, Ruapapa, Moliakaj native land, Manngataniwha and on. the properties of Messrs. S’. Mitchell and S. Ruawai. <■
