The day’s play resulted. in win for tho home club by eight- madhe-s- to four. GISBORNE CLUB FIRST QUALIFYING! ROUNDS , ; ■ The first of three qualifying rounds the best, two cards to count in qualifying members for match play in the club championship, the Hutchinson Cup, the Ormond Cup, and the Brce Cup. was played on Saturday afternoon by members of the Poverty Bay Golf Club. Next Saturday the nomination round for the A and B tourjia--ment will be played together with ahandicap medal, match, and the remaining games in the current- tournaments.
