“TALKIE TESTS" TQ-MORROW

Crowded houses should greet the opening of the “talkie tests” at the Opera House to-morrow. The first section of the tests recently made in Gisborne will consist of 28 local as'rants. Reports received yesterday indicate that, the quality of the tests- is very satisfactory so that a good idea of the screen possibilities of the candidates may be formedThe audience will bo asked to vote for 10 out of the 28, four men, four women, one.boy and one girl- This section of the tests will bo screened for one week with a change of picture programme on Tuesday. Rians arc now available at the Regent box office. The feature commencing on Friday, will “The Trumpet Blows”, and “Men of To-Morrow.”
