“LORD EDGEWARE DIES” “Lord Edgeware Dies” is the title of Die Majestic Theatre’s first picture. This 1 is the film version of the novel by the well-known writer of detective fiction. Agatha Christie, and again introduces to the screen her famous French detective, H.ercu.le Poirot. The method of unfold mg the mystery adheres very closely to that employed by Agatha. Christie—that of inference and deduction, whilst benuiising the onlooker by throwing heavy suspicion on the actual culprit, and at the same time hinting strongly at the guilt of other suspects. The circumstances under, which Lord Edgeware is. found dead point to his .wife being the miscreant*, and a dramatic story develops. The second feature is. an action drama featuring James Cagney and Madge Evans. “Mayor of Hell”. At the evening sessions, Trevor and Dawn will present their celebrated adagio waltz while, they will also conduct an imin'r tear ballroom dancing .championship, at which the audience will judge. The semi-finals take place to-night, and the final will be decided to-morrow. G AsO RED THE .
