STATE ADVANCES
BOARD OF MANAGEMENT. TO BFi RECONSTITUTED (Press Associationi WELLINGTON, June 30. Steps are being taken by the Government to reconstitute t.he board o> management of the State Advances -Corporation of New Zealand. The reconstitution will take effect as from to-morrow, when the last of the four appointments will bo made by tno Executive Council. The Minister for Finance stated b inight that the present joint managing directors, AfessrS. A. D. Park and T. N. Smallwood, bad been reappointed as provided for ;n tno State Advances Corporation Act re. eently passed by Parliament. Tho Minister also explained that it had been decided to retain on the board the services' of Mr. B. C. Ashwin, first assistant to the Treasury, who would bo be an cx officio director. The appointment of a fourth director had been approved by Cabinet, but the name of the man selected could not be announced until after final approval by the Executive Council. Mr. Nash added that it was probable that other directors, as provided fm in tho Act, would bo appointed in the near future. The selection ot the chairman of the new board el management had not yet been made, hilt would be decided in due course.
