-CHARLIE CHAPLIN IN “MODERN TIMES” TO-DAY. SPECIAL MATINEE 2 P.M. A specially selected children’s programme has been arranged to support- Charlie Chaplin in “.Modern Times,’’ which will be presented at tho Opera House to-dav at a special children’s matinee. In order that children should not be denied tile- opportunity of seeing this delightful production arrangements have been made to bring the Alin to Gisborne a day earlier by special car. The supports include “Pop-Eye the Sailor,’ and an ‘Our Gang” comedy and “The Calico- Drago,” a coloured cartoon. The Regent season of four days will commence on Monday at 2 p.m.
