Since October 23 the Wellington Blood Transfusion Service has enabled 34 patients to receive blood transfusion. Tim number consisted of 19 women, 13 men and two children. Dr. lan B. Ewart, writing to the secretary of the service in connection with a recent transfusion, stated.: “The lack of delay in obtaining a suitable donor was. greatly appreciated. In this case I am quite certain the patient’s lifb was saved by the blood transfusion.”-
