The AYhakatane police are investigating the theft of £l3 from a tent at Oliope bench. The money was sfolcn from a tent occupied by Mr A. Martyn, of Wailii, who, with his wife, is camping at the beach. Mr Martyii reported to the police that before lie went to bed he placed the money in a handkerchief, which lie rolled up and put in the breast pocket of his coat, stuffing, another handkerchief on top and hanging the coat on the upright pole of his tent, fn the morning ho found that the money had been taken.
