A report from Pan-American Airways’ huge seaplane, the Clipper plane, at, 5 sun. stated that a. MG miles an hour head wind had slowed down the ’plane’s speed to less than 100 miles an hour. Hie ’plane was 1393 miles from Honolulu. A storm was just breaking, the message milled. Later. The Clipper aeroplane from Honolulu arrived at 2.58 p.m. Pacific standard time. The Minister of Public Works lias approved a bi-weekly service to be operated by K.L.M. from Amsterdam to Batavia. Previously, the Post Office opposed a bi-weekly service lieean,se it was thought that Imperial Airways London to Australia service rendered the increase unnecessary.
