The packing room, piled with coils of rope and other merchandise, was eomrlotq!) gutted. The flames reached some of the interior walls and charred them, and the intense heat and smoko also caused damage inside tho shop. The insurance of ;C25.(>00 on the building and stock is held by the Sobthorn Union office.
