Speaking at the annual meeting o r the Wairarapa Fn-rrtierh* Co-operative Association last week, Mr. C. M. Bowden, chairman of directors, said the hoard had no alternative to suggesting that the total debit in the profit and loss appropriation account, £72,142, should be carried forward and that no dividend be paid on tbe preference shares. The contingent liability under this heading was rc"' £60,000. It was apparent that resumption of payment of dividend, even oh preference shares, was not yet in sight.
