AUDACIOUS - PIRACY

HONGKONG, May 27
An audaoions piracy, almost wiLli'in British waters, occurred last night, fourteen armed pirates overpowering the officers of asi earner named the Prominent. After shooting Captain Jensen in the leg, they threw the second officer off the bridge to the deck below and then steered the ship to Bias Bay. After looting the, vessel, they escaped in lifeboats to Ping Shan island nvith the booty. A police launch pursued the pirates seme distance, but the first and second officers were used as shields agaiinst the police, The Prominent is a fi-ce carrier between .Hongkong and Saigon.
