President of the Danzig Senate, attacked the city's system of Government, and declared elections on May 29 to enable the Nazis to seize power in Danzig by legal means. He closed his speech by crying: ‘'Hail HitTer!”

LUTHERANS ELECT OWN BISHOP (Times Cable.) LONDON. May 26. The Berlin correspondent- states that a committee representing the autonomous Lutheran * Reformed Churches flouted the German Christian Party’s ultimatum that the first Bishop of the Reich must not only be a Nazi but must enjoy Herr Hitler’s confidence, by electing the Rev. Friedrich Von Bodeluchwingu. The Rev. Herman Catler. President of the German Evangelicals, insisted on the absolute independence of ilia church and that the said care c-f the church did not lie with the political party.
