TOKOMARU BAY GUN CLUB

•(Special to the Times.) A shoot was held during the week for the Churches Cup. The weather conditions were difficult, and tlio shooting was much helow tlie usual standard. H. F. Smythe shot most consistently, and took tho Cup for the second time. after a shootoff with H. Newton, who also broke 13 of the fifteen birds in. the Cup match E. A. Page, with 13 birds was third. Previous winners of the Cop were: O. Solvander, J. Law, E. A. Page* Rex Oates, and F. Smythe. The scores were:—

Five Birds’ Handicap: —H. F. Smythe (17yds) broke the possible, and took first money. H. Newton (17yds), W. Oates (17yds), E. A. Page (17yds), each broke 4 birds, and divided the stakes. Churches Cup: Fifteen Birds’ Handicap :—H. F. Smythe (18) 13 breaks, H. Newton (17) 13 breaks, E. A. Pago (17) 12 breaks, A. It. Churches (16) 11 breaks, IV. Oates (1/1 9 breaks, . Rex Oate s (17) 8 breaks, E. Wilkins HI) 5 breaks. B. Smythe was first in the shootoff with Newton runner-up and Page third.

Eight Birds’ Handicap:—H. New ton (18) and A. R. Churches (I<s), each broke 7 birds and divided first and second money. Page (17), and Sbythe (19) broke 6 birds and divided third money.
