“WHISKERS'’ BLAKE INJURED

Word has been received by tho secretary of the Poverty Bay Wrestling association, Mr. T. P. Sinai e, from the president of the New Zealand Wrestling Association, Mr. 11. D Bennett, that “Whiskers” Blake, who was to have appeared here on June 3, will be unable' to do so. Blako, who was to wrestle a n opponent named: later way hurt in Ins bout with George Walker at Auckland, and. is forced to forego bis matches in Gisborne, Hastings and Stratford. The president sends a n assurance that arrangements will be made for a match in Gisborne on June 3. Blake’s place will be taken by ono of a party of wrestlers, duo to arrive in Auckland from America, on Monday.
