Tho Commonwealth Government has instructed its delegate at the International Labour Conference to insist that the proposed forty-hour w’-’clc is not practicable in Australia, unless the leading nations of tne world, whose products compete with Australian, take similar action, but if the nations agree to uniform reduced standard hours. Australia will be re.adv to ioin an international agreement to that offset.
