As tho result of the- recommendation of the Calf Club committee presented to the meeting of .t-ho A. and R. Association o-n Saturday, it was decided.to encourage members of such •"clubs by placing a special class on the show programme this year. The report of., the sub-committee, which was adopted by the association, stated that Mr. H. G. Lockhart, who had attended the mooting, explained the work' that, he was carrying- on in the • schools of- the district; For. the 1932 season, 240 pupils of thirteen schools had reared and exhibited calves. He suggested,that the- association should encourage children to look after calves until they become yearlings ..by,-, providing classes at the show.—Ori the, motion, of; Mr. ; C.
