Ihe candidates whoso qualifications aio in dispute arc Miss Mabel Howard, Mr. E. <T. Howard, Rev. <T. K. Archer and Mr. G. T. Thurston, all nominated by the Labour Party. Mr, E,f Howard was elected to. the Harbour Board and the others to the City Council. Tf the association is not satisfied with the result of the Council’s inquiry, it lias power to appeal to a magistrate. All f° ur candidates live outside the boundaries of tho city, hut are enrolloc, some with residential qualifications at addresses in the city to which, it is alleged, they are not entitled.
