ALLEGED INTEMPERATE LABOR M/P.’S. DR. SALTER’S ALLEGATIONS. (U.P.A. by Elec. Tev. Copyright) LONDON, May 14. The Sunday Express, reports Dr. A. Salter, Labor M.P., as having said at a temperance meeting in Glasgow: — “We have, seen Labor members of Parliament in tho House of Commons drinking night after night. AVe .have seen another group who go into the * smoking room to soak all evening until they are stupid. AVo have seen Labor Cabinet Alinisters -go into . the House of Commons in a condition in which they could hardly stand.” It is recalled that Dr. Salter was censured by the House of Commons in 1926 for stating that he had seen many members drunk in the House of Commons.
