Tradespeople were busy preparing displays and other workers were erecting the tables etc., required for the very largej number of exhibits. Especially 'gratifying » the strong demand for sideshow space land dhei public should be excellently catered for in this respect. As far as the entries' are concerned, *an outstanding feature is tho fact that tho farm produce section has attracted nearly double the total oa 1929, the .previous record year. Maize entries are exceptionally strong andj some very fine cobs and grain wili be on show.

Art and photography is another section that has improved greatly in popularity, and about 130 entries have been scheduled this year, .coinpared with only 94 last year. The class for (model aeroplanes is one whickf has captured the interest of hoys, and no less than 20 have entered) this year, compared with only eight, on the last occasion 5 which was the* first time such a class appeared on te schedule. There has been an increase in the bakers’ classes, which were inaugurated last year. Additional interest, ha.s been taken aomng the schools, and an increase from 345 to 423 entries was one of the factors' assisting the association to secure a record for the total number of entries fn the jsbow 1 . -Most schools in thaf district are represented. Women have shown renewed interest in the association, and liomo lindustnies and preserves are larger +,Ms year "than last, although the home industries do not come quite up to the 1929 record!. The entries in preserves, however, are easily a redord. The Show will he open to the public from 7 o’clock to-morrow night, and St will he officially opened by the MJavor (Mr John Jackson), and Mr D.
