OPERATIONS IN BOROUGH. ENGIN EE IFS PROG R AMME. Major works proposed by the borough engineer, Mr. It. It. J homas, for the .quarter ended March 31 next and approved by the council at last evening’b meeting are as follows: — Service reservoir, 'laumata Hill. Hirini street culvert. Re-surfacing' oi roads with bitumen and Napier shingle as per authorised schedule.
Re-suirfacing of footpaths as far as Blocks' of material will permit. Installation of I.2in. C.T. by-pass and. cleaning ol Stanley road septic tank. Overhaul of server pumps.
Replaeiim crown stays in road roller. Cartage of Wacrenga-a-liika gravel to borough dump. Lying- 21-iu, stormwater drain in Russell street.
