WEDDING

REDSTONE—CURRIE

xA very preltv wedding was solemnised at Knox Church, Manga papa, on Monday night, when Jean, daughter of AJr. and Airs. Alexander Currie, of Gisborne, was married to Nolan John, son of Air. and All's. Nolan Redstone, of Gisborne. The Rev. L. C. AI. Donaldson performed the ceremony, and Air. R. Goldsmith presided at the organ. A charming decorative scheme, which had its inspiration in Airs. IV. Harrison and other friends of the bride, formed a picturesque setting for the wedding group. AI asses of pink and lavender seasonal blooms, intermingled with delicate trails of asparagus and maiden-hair fern were artistically arranged, and a soitlytinted floral wedding-bell, suspended overhead, added to tho charming effect, while pink and mauve ribbons adorned the pews in which the guests Were seated.

The bride who was given a "ay b.V her father, wore an exquisite irock of ivory satin beaute designed to slender line and graceful movement. The closely moulded bodice deeply pointed at-the wa-is-t' at the back and front was made with a yoke effectslightly shirred in front, and very full puff sleeves shirred at the sliuulder. The long llowing skirt was composed of flared panels and hung in soft folds. Her only ornaments were a tiny diamond true lovers’ knot, and a rhinestone necklace, the latter tlie gift of the bridegroom. The ill my bridal veil of Brussels net, embroidered in chrysanthemums and true lovers' knots, was arranged in cap fashion and caught at the nape of the neck with orange blossoms and white satin ribbons. A lovely sheaf of white mallows and red roses, combined with maiden-hair fern, finished with long white satin streamers was carried. The bridesmaids, Aliss Nossio Currie, sister of the bride, and Aliss Dorothy Redstone, sister of the bridegroom, each wore a charming frock of shell pink georgette over matching taffetas, designed with a, cowl necklace and full shirred sleeves, the long skirt, inset, with godots composed of picot-edgcd frills being finished with a wide sash tied ill a soft bow on the liip. Picture bats of palo pink straw ornamented with touches of lavender, elbow length pink gloves and lavender satin slippers were worn and e«eh carried a bouquet of pink mid lavender sweet peas and carnations caught with lavoudei' ribbons.

Tho little flower girl, May Bedstone, cousin ol' the bridegroom, was a dainty figure in a frock of shell pink taffetas'fashioned with a tight fitting bodice aiul a long frilled skirt, just revealing - lavender shoes.

Her Kate Greenaway bonnet of pink gnd lavender organdie was tied with • Ijtvender satin bows and she carried ;i basket of pink and lavender, flowers. ..The bridegroom’s gilts to tlie two redder attendants were silver and crystal necklaces and tu the little maid a gold bangle. - -• • .- • • Air.. The bride travelled in a smart frock of saxe blue crepe elegantly combined with blue and -white spotted crcpc do chine'-aiid -a-.military coat-of *axo blue kasha cloth, a becoming model h a t to match completing the ensemble. Mrs. Currie, mother of the bride, was wearing a handsome frock ol leaf green celanese silk with beige lace trimmings and a beige straw hat. Her bouquet of autumn tinted blooms was tied with streamers to tone.. Mrs. Redstone, mother of the bridegroom, wore an elegant frock of delphiniunm blue satin mai'ocain huislicd with a scalloped collar of champagne georgette and a hat to tone, a bouquet of cerise gladioli and maidenhair forn completing her toilette. Mrs. Cram, grandmother of flic bridegroom, was wearing a smart frock of tabac brown floral silk with a matching coatee and hat to tone. Her bouquet was composed of tiger lilies and delicate greenery tied with orange ribbons. Mrs. Lewis Redstone chose a graceful frock of navy blue beige and a hat to match. ,
