Miller who was first in both the 33145yd5. and 66 2-3yds. open handicaps. while I). Bowie secured second place in two novel tv events besides winning several heats in the handicap events. Ht is apparent from the above that the liandicapper made some mistake in Bowie’s handicap when compared with that of Miller’s, and under the circumstances it will he realised that he was set an impossible task to defeat liis team-mates. However, his wins in the heats showed that he was well able to hold his own with the best of Rotorua’s swimmers.
