Constable Oswald Pryor, ul the Territory .Mounted Police, has met and married a charming brunette. Unc writer was selected, photo, gi'apbs were changed, and correspondence followed, and when the southern mail train steamed into Alt. pa on Sunday, September 25, few of the crowd on the platform were aware that romance was in the air. With a few friends- Pryor stood *jy his brand new car, and, on a prearranged signal, lie walked forward and claimed the original of the photo, which he carried in lbs pocket. FROM SYDNEY. A pretty brunette, 'attired charmingly, opened her eyes in wonder when she saw a big. handsome man pushing his way through the crowd, somewhat authoritatively, to claim her. Quickly a whisper went round, and a curious crowd gathered about the central figure; but Pryor, why lias been trained to handle delicate situations, and to think quickly, whisked his fiancee away in- his car. Airs. Pryor (formerly Aliss Bell), who comes from Sydney, is 2S. When seen after the wedding', she said , she was 'charmed with her big handsome husband, and with the kindness showered on her by the big-hearted people of West Queensland. The couple loft later for the Rankiue River. N.T.. where Pryor is stationed.
