Air Commodore Kingsford Smith has received a. hint that there .s no hope of tlie Commonwealth Government finding him an aviation job or providing a subsidy for a London air tna.il, owing to the shortage of funds It was stated to-day that he would probably go to New Zealand to reside. “Smithy,” : piloting the Southern Cross, made, many pleasure flights over the city to-day, with up to 17 passengers on each trip.

Light aeroplanes should 1m purchasable at £3OO, half the present price, in consequence of Sir "William -Morris’s mass production plans. The first tests have been completed, at Brooklands, of a 7-cylinder 150 horse-power radial aero engine, and Sir M illiam hopes to market this engine at £l5O.
