CHRISTCHURCH, Jau. 14. A few samples of now’season’s produce have been shown merchants. A splendid line of A Gafton oats, weighing 451 b to tlie bushel, was included, and also au excellent sample of Algerians. The lengthy spell of dry weather, enabling the oats to bo harvested without a shower of 'raid; probably will result in more than the average proportion of bright clean sample. A line of new . season’s machinedressed Italian ryegrass has been sold at' 4s 6d a bushel. ' A parcel of old season’s cocksfoot is stated to have been sold to-day at 9Ad a lb for machine-dressed. The pea crop is looking well. There is no inquiry., / ' Barley is not creating any interest. It is stated that the decreasing thirst of tho community has caused a substantial carry-over from last year, and, in addition, less.new season’s barley will be required through the samb reason. Potatoes are unchanged at 77s 6d f.odj., s.i., for' April-Jun© delivery.
