DEFENCE RIFLE CLUB

WEEKLY SHOOT. There was a, good attendance °f marksmen at the above club’s weekly shoot, which took place at the Mangapapa range during the week, over 500 and 600 yards ranges. A tricky fish-tail wind proved troub’esome to most of the marksman, nevertheless some good scores were registered, the most successful being G. Wooltoil, with a score of 37 at 500yds, and 35 at 600yds, ■/ hep. 3, total 75, out of a possible of. 80. Colin Firie was again runner-up, with 35 at 600yds, and 26 at 600yds, hep. 4, total 75. Third place went to Spencer Firie, with a grand total of 74. During this week, a challenge teams match, in conjunction with the weekly shoot, will take place between teams selected by president and vicepresident, over 200 and 300 yards distances.
